Nestlé Skin Health SHIELD Receives Corporate Leadership Award from the American Skin Association

SHIELD Honored for Efforts to Change the Discussion on Skin Health

New York, NY, April 19, 2016 - Nestlé Skin Health SHIELD (Skin Health Investigation, Education and Longevity Development), a global network of innovation and education hubs, was honored with the prestigious Corporate Leadership Award by the American Skin Association today for their work to influence tomorrow by creating impactful scientific advances in skin health today.
 
“We created SHIELD with a goal of advancing the future of skin health, so it is a great honor to receive the Corporate Leadership Award from the American Skin Association,” said Humberto Antunes, CEO of Nestlé Skin Health. “This award is important in our mission of working with the best minds in the world to develop ideas that will change the way the world thinks about skin health.”
 
The award was presented at the ASA’s 2016 Spring Gala, an event that honors individuals and corporations helping to raise awareness and provide hope for advances in skin health. More than 250 leading researchers, scientists, world renowned physicians, community leaders, corporate executives and philanthropists were in attendance.
“American Skin Association presented its 2016 Corporate Leadership Award to Nestlé Skin Health SHIELD for its efforts to advance the vital conversation on skin health around the globe,” said Howard P. Milstein, Chairman of ASA.

We are honored to see our efforts recognized and acknowledged by the skin health community” said Dr. Johannes J. Baensch, Chief Scientific Officer of Nestlé Skin Health. “We consider this recognition a strong affirmation of the mission and focus of SHIELD, which is to change how the world thinks about and acts upon skin health in this era of triple-digit longevity and wellness. We hope this inspires potential collaborators – visionaries from medicine, science, the arts and technology – to find us, and join us on this quest,” said Warren Winkelman, Senior Medical Director and Head of Medical Innovation for SHIELD.
